Such was the interest in Cordell's Welsh work that this novel was translated in the same year of its original publication in English.  The title translates literally to "How Red Was My Valley", so who knows whether author, translator or publisher were having a not so subtle dig at another standard of Welsh literature.  This is a stirring and superb read, in any language, and this example is meritorious for the dust jacket illustration alone. The binding is a little loose and there is some wear to jacket edges; a closed tear to front.
