Very attractive and rare example of Ford's breakthrough novel in 1976. The cover is from an original painting by Wendell Minor. Inscribed 'To Maggie....[from] Dick'.  Not thought to refer to author (signatures have been compared). There is a hint of toning to text block edges.  Usual American deckled (untrimmed) pages. In the jacket, a little loss to spine extremities, some nicks to top and bottom edges.
