To mainstream English readers Sagan appealed, as she conformed to one idea of what a French writer should be, and there was none of this weird post-modern structuralist nonsense. So, she was translated almost immediately after first French publication. This 1960 novella is another very efficient Parisian BCBG* romp, and her best known work after Bonjour Tristesse. Beautifully presented with great contemporary cover art.  There is a little tanning to endpapers, some foxing to text block edges. The jacket is intact; a little grubby to rear.
