Author of the renowned Seven Years in Tibet, Harrer turned his attention here to the harshest of all Alpine tests. The book is fine; clean to covers and text block; no foxing. Attractive blue stain retained to top edge and bottom edge clean. No marks or inscriptions except for one owner's mark; binding firm and tight. Many superb photographs. Jacket, unclipped, very good with just usual rubbing to extremities. No areas of loss. Ephemeral contemporaneous newspaper clippings about the Eiger.
