Released as the 53rd volume of the publisher's "Rouge et Or" series, this is a very well-produced book indeed, honouring the subject's status in 20th century French literature. Part love-story, fantasy dream-scape, even time travel, this haunting work became all the more important after its author's untimely death. Beautifully and startlingly illustrated, with both black and white and full-plate colour illustrations, this book is in fine condition, and even the dedication is charming and appropriately touching. This is a rare example of French publishing at its best.  The book and jacket are both without marks or foxing with only a little rubbing to the jacket.
