Presumed early 1940s (War Economy Standard) reprint of one of the Duff's best known tales. this is a very good to fine copy in a rare very good dust jacket. No marks or inscriptions. Binding a little loose to title page. A little spotting but very little foxing apart from title page and overall a very presentable book of its time.
Douglas Duff was a merchant seaman, soldier, colonial policeman, naval reservist and author. He attracted some controversy for his role as a Black and Tan and his then transfer to the notorious Palestinian Police Force. He later became a minor television personality as a panellist on the popular British quiz show "What's My Line?"
