The ninth adventure in the Famous Five series. This is a first edition book in its original dust jacket.  The book is fine with no spotting or foxing although the text block edges are a little discoloured. The original red boards are very good and the binding is tight. The book and pages are free from any marking or inscription being quite clean and fresh inside. The (now protected) original jacket is a little worn, has some loss to the spine top and wear to the front edge with expected shelf but evidently limited handling wear. The jacket shows the correct 6/- price.
