Fourteenth adventure in Savile's incredibly popular and successful 'Lone Pine' series. This is a first printing by Newnes in fine condition, with no marks or inscriptions, with only some faint spotting to the top edge. The book is very clean and tidy inside and opens tightly.  The unclipped jacket is fine, with only a couple of nicks to the spine top. The striking wrap-around jacket design, based on the author's own photo, and re-worked by the illustrator, is noted as a 'entirely new approach to juvenile book design'.
