This is a first edition book in a later dust jacket, probably 1949, given the advertising of further titles in the series published until then.  The book has a discreet gift inscription to the front paste down but is otherwise unmarked. The book is fair to good.  It has a pronounced lean to the right and there is some damage to the spine extremities. The front hinge is loosening from the end paper. There is foxing to the text block edges although this does not intrude to the pages, which are free from any marking or inscription. The later jacket is in the style of the original and has some loss to the spine top and other extremities.
