Good example of this quite scarce early Biggles story (the sixteenth) with embossed blue boards and attractive colour frontispiece. Produced as the "Pyramid" edition, maybe 1-2 years after the true first edition.There is some foxing to the text block edges but not generally intruding to pages except at certain points. The front hinge is loosening at the end paper and title page. There is a previous owner's inscription to the front paste down.
