The eleventh of the adventures of the Swallows and Amazons crew.  The 1st printing book is fine with no marks or inscriptions apart from a small and neat owner's inscription to the front end paper.  Green boards are clean and gilt lettering bright.  Spine top and bottom are a little bumped. The text block edges are clean. End papers very bright and attractive.  The otherwise fine jacket is not contemporaneous given the publisher's list to rear but is in all other respects (apart from the price) identical to the original as issued.
