A nice set of two books relating the mountain experiences of John and Ann Davies in Snowdonia.  A strange Hungarian girl, a plane crash, spies, and a blizzard are some of the exciting encounters experienced by the children. Journey with a Secret is a good ex library book in commensurate condition and is a second impression.  The jacket is fine. A Tent on Top is a first impression in fine condition with like jacket.

Showell Styles was a highly prolific author of children's adventure stories, set mainly in a mountaineering context, a pursuit in which he also excelled. He also wrote a series of non-fiction books on various mountaineering topics.
