Rare and nicely-produced edition of the seminal work which was published in first edition in 1867. This scarce book is attractively bound in full leather with attractive pictorial paste downs and all three edges beautifully sprayed. "Beati mundo corde" Latin inscription to the front cover. This book is very clean with internal marks or inscriptions and appears unread. The pages open tightly.
There is a mark and small chip to the lower left of the front cover, possibly reparable.
