This is one of Blyton's very earliest published stories, from 1922 when she was 24. Prior to this she had mainly written poetry. Her first forays into short stories for young children came from contributions like this and to other publishers' annuals. The book is in very good condition with fresh colour plates and generally clean and tidy pages although some foxing. There is a gift inscription and probably pasted-in gift illustration to the front end papers.
