Only Sagan's third novel and translated straightaway into English, such was her burgeoning popularity. Often touted as Sagan's foray into existentialism, comme il fallait, it is certainly a riveting character study of the Parisian cultural elite, and their oh-so first world obsessions and anxieties. This is a very good book except for spotting to front edge, intruding to some page edges, dusty top edge. The jacket has some very limited nibbling to spine extremities and is a little grubby to rear.
