Sometimes said to be influenced by Golding's view of Salisbury Cathedral from his teaching classroom, this is the story of a man's obsession to build his tower. In its study of devotion and determination may even prefigure The Pillars of the Earth. There is some bumping to spine top. A small hint of tanning to top edge and page edges. Boards clean and binding tight. In the jacket, there is some loss to spine top, rear is grubby in parts. A little discolouration to title lettering.
