There is evidence that stamps (e.g. school) have been erased from endpapers although all pages complete and no other markings. Some tanning to page edges. The jacket is a little.....

John Calder were known as the 'alternative' London publishers and thus had no issue in publishing this in association with the equally bohemian.....

...My Dad was absolutely delighted with it. He said the condition was "vintage" and it was absolutely everything he remembered it to be. I don't think I've ever seen my Dad as happy with something as he was with this. It is now going to be passed down through generations, starting with me and my children. We'll have to make sure the cover stays on and it's held with very gentle hands!!
